Very Good

The staff was friendly. Everything was good. The place was clean. We had someone that came cleaned out the bin which was very nice really like that old man.

My light of the room in the double bed was not working that was a real inconvenience for us. We also had the pool to ourselves and the lady that worked there didn't bother to clean the pool it was constantly full of bugs and trees stuff and frogs which is highly disappointing therefore we didn't use the pool much. As I have ocd and it killed me being in that pool we stayed at the villas

Okay, and we enjoyed our stay, but there is definitely room for improvement

The price and the games room were a nice add. The peace and quiet was also nice

The place could have been cleaned a bit better, there were spiders in the unit and cob webs all around outside and by the braai area, the braai grill could do with a clean too, there was previous users oil that we had to burn off 1st, and the couch could do with a steam clean, the pools were okay, but was crystal blue years ago when we used to visit, even the hot water pools was merky. The room only had 2 toilet rolls and the security never had backup stock after hours, I had to drive into town at night to get toilet paper. Maybe also consider bringing the bike carts back, it was a nice feature that was lots of fun

It was ok!

The aircon!

The bed, shower in bath instead of stand alone shower, it was missing an awning by the braai area, which made it very unpleasant braaiing in the sun. A broken bath outside by the seating area. Broken pedalstal. Avalon Springs - to pay so much money for the hot springs facility was disappointing, the cocktails was expensive and horrendous. It was a mix on cocktails.

Nice staff, good location, very close to the Hot Springs, they have a play park and several pools, spacious house with 2 bedrooms, good for 1 night

The furnishings of the house is already getting old and is worn out.

This is one vacation place I would return to often and recommend to others.

The house in itself was well equiped. Had all nessecities. Loved the fact that we paid reduced rate for entry to the hot pools at Avalon Springs. The confrmation call prior to our stay was good. The fact that security was well visible throughout he night, made feel safe and secure.

The walk-in shower though as water got through to the toilet side. Can maybe extend the hours for chalet guests at the hot springs. So wanted to still enjoy it after sunset.

Overall it was okay, Montagu has limited facilities so the heated pool had to be free.

The view was nice and the house was decent.

The fact that you must pay for Avalon facilities and Montagu itself doesn’t have much facilities , also the villa is very outdated and needs some upgrades.

The location of the Chalet i stayed in was ideal for me. The resort was not busy, and it suited me to a T. The place is really clean

The chalet was not what i expected, being the resorts most expensive option. It was dated, and small things that were broken or not fitted correctly were a disappointment.

Had a relaxing stay at Montagu Springs. Plenty to do for kids, Peaceful setting.

We stayed for three nights in one of the Golden Terrace Chalets and overall had a pleasant and relaxing experience. Plenty to do for the kids. The staff was friendly and helpful at reception. The chalet was clean and the tranquil setting added to the enjoyment of our stay.

The chalet interior could really benefit from an upgrade. The furniture, cupboards, and kitchen are outdated and in need of modernization to match the otherwise beautiful surroundings. Small touches like updated cabinetry and couches are needed. The wifi signal was also poor inside the chalet. We were also a bit disappointed that the heated pool felt colder than expected, especially considering it’s one of the main draws of the resort. A slightly warmer temperature would have made it far more enjoyable, particularly in the cooler evenings.

Friendly staff.

I booked 2 units and asked for them to be next to each other. I called them to confirm, and they said it was next to each other. When I checked in they were not. When I asked them what happened, they said they had to change it to accommodate more people and dates. Made my booking in Jan. Warm pool water was cold and unpleasant. No convenience shop at Montagu. We had to go to Avalon springs and they had nothing for self catering purposes not even 5ltr bottles of water. Only one water pool.

Decent stay but expected more

- Chalet had undercover parking for the car - The braai area was cleaned daily - Close proximity of the cold water pool to our chalet - Free pool board, table tennis board and Fuse ball board in the conference center - Options of tennis, soccer or bike riding if you don't feel like swimming

- The chalet looks dated and not really like the pictures shown online - The front awning was missing and therefore the chalet was very hot during the day - The dstv didn't work - The aircon didn't work, a fan was provided instead - No loadshedding lights provided - An iron can be rented for a refundable deposit of R100 but there's only two to service the property - You need to pay to use the hot water pool - We stayed for a week and no clean towels or extra toilet paper were provided during our stay - The sofa has a very unattractive stain that wasn't cleaned before our arrival - The basin tap in the bathroom splashes everytime you open it - It was quite windy and due to all the trees; there were alot of leaves but no one swept for the duration of our stay. It got swept on the Friday morning when we left. - Wifi connectivity was patchy

We had a pleasant stay overall. The environment is lovely and peaceful.

The kitchen is has all the necessary items.

There were cockroaches in the house. On the 2nd night we had to call Security just after midnight because there were annoying and uncomfortable noise from the top of the house. Security deduced that some youngsters from the unit located above our unit were throwing stones or rocks on to our unit. I must commend Security for coming so quickly after we made the call.
